2024 Total Solar Eclipse Coverage
My Humble Addition
People have photographed eclipses before, just as they have the Milky Way, Saturn, and many more distant and elusive events across the night sky. Despite this, I’ve always wanted MY own pictures of these kinds of things. April 8th of 2024 provided me the opportunity to do just that.

I’ve always wondered what a drone view would look like of an eclipse, and it really does look like the sun just went down. I love how the automatic security lights on the grain bins in the distance turn on in the darkness.
If you spotted an Amazon employee in the timelapse, you’re correct! He was delivering a package 30 seconds before totality, so we invited him to watch with us or risk missing out on a once in a lifetime experience.
